چکیده

Applying partially miscible lubricating oil-refrigerant mixtures instead of completely ones in refrigeration systems is a promising way to avoid the refrigerant insufficiency, and application oil requires clarity nucleate pool boiling characteristics mixtures. As at conditions show an entirely different stratification process compared or non-boiling studied by former researchers, existing researches cannot be directly applied evaluate mixture. The purpose this study experimentally investigate model both heat transfer performance phenomenon observed, up four layers (i.e., oil-rich micro-layer, middle oil-poor layer, top gas phase layer) are found. stratifying from single layer into modelled, calculation methods mass rates among proposed. validation shows that predicted thicknesses accord with experimental images, which covers flux ranging 5 15 kW/m2, initial fraction 15%, height 80 120 mm. Predicted coefficients agree 80% data within deviation ± 25%, mean 15.3%.

Experimental Investigation in Pool Boiling Heat Transfer of Pure/Binary Mixtures and Heat Transfer Correlations

Nucleate pool boiling heat transfer coefficient have been experimentally measured on a horizontal rod heater for various liquid binary mixtures. Measurements are based on more than three hundred data points on a wide range of concentrations and heat fluxes. In this investigation, it has been confirmed that the heat transfer coefficient in boiling solutions are regularly less than those in p...

Heat transfer in nucleate pool boiling of multicomponent mixtures

Steady state pool boiling heat transfer coefficients have been obtained experimentally for acetone–isopropanol–water and acetone–MEK (methyl ethyl ketone)–water ternary systems. The data show that, for a given heat flux, the heat transfer coefficients of mixtures are lower than those obtained for pure components constituting the mixture. The measured heat transfer coefficients were compared wit...

Pool Boiling Heat Transfer Characteristics of Nanofluids by Sung Joong

Nanofluids are engineered colloidal suspensions of nanoparticles in water, and exhibit a very significant enhancement (up to 200%) of the boiling Critical Heat Flux (CHF) at modest nanoparticle concentrations (50.1% by volume). Since CHF is the upper limit of nucleate boiling, such enhancement offers the potential for major performance improvement in many practical applications that use nucleat...

Boiling Heat Transfer Characteristics of Immiscible Liquid Mixtures

Cooling technology becomes more important because of the increase in heat generation density of semiconductor chips. Boiling and two-phase flow is expected as one of the most effective methods to cool the electronic devices because of its superior heat transfer characteristics. Because the boiling heat transfer depends on the selection of coolant, the development of liquid mixtures and their co...
